Mercato di Cuoio (The Leather Market) by George Hallmark

On a trip to northern Italy several years ago, I was at once impressed with the wonderful architecture. This scene is a corner of the leather market, and the lady with customized bicycle seems unaware she is being watched by a centuries-old statue. - George Hallmark
The textures, architecture and use of light make this painting truly outstanding. It was chosen as the image for the cover of January/February 2008 Art of the West magazine. This print is from an edition size of only 195 in this series.
