Along Raes Creek by Larry Dyke
Along Raes Creek by Larry Dyke ~ Rae's Creek at Augusta National may be one of the most beautiful bodies of water on any golf course in the world. It may also be the most treacherous! Many a golfer has lost a championship while walking Along Rae's Creek and rounding the Amen Corner. The viewer is on the fairway approaching the 13th green. Here Rae's Creek, an Augusta National landmark, is rather narrow with small bridges. The creek is much wider approaching the 12th green where the bridges are also much larger. The placement of four sand traps to the left and just past the green and the creek fronting it, require the golfer to make a treacherous shot to the green. Too long or left, you're in the traps; too short or right, you're in the creek.
