After the Centennial Parade Art Prints by Jack Terry
Texas celebrated it’s 100th year of independence from Mexico in 1936. A huge parade in Austin took place down Congress Avenue. The streets were lined with adoring fans. The Governors carriage makes its way home while the street cars begin their evening runs. This painting hung the Texas State Capitol for many years and is part of the artists private collection.
