Under His Wings serves as the perfect reminder that God has promised to take care of us. In the painting, the girl is simply going about her day playing outside and picking flowers. Note though that the girl isn’t worried or troubled. Perhaps she knows she is taken care of. Taken directly from Psalm 91:4, Ron DiCianni uses the wings to show that God is keeping her safe. Though they are invisible to her, they are as real as the flowers in her hand. What a beautiful tribute to God’s promise that we can always find refuge in Him.
