After the Centennial Parade

JACK TERRY After the Centennial Parade

by Jack Terry

One of the many events which benchmarked the Centennial celebration in Texas in 1936 was the parade in Austin. This image revisits that era and permits us to revue a time that so naturally mixed the past and the future. As the streetcars roll and the carriages depart for home, a time of Texas heritage is recorded "After the Centennial Parade".
