Wygant enjoyed painting all parts of Texas and admits freely that the
Frio (River) is one of his favorites. The rocky terrain and the
sparkling water give the scene a great deal of textural interest. What
cowboy wouldn't want to be there and pause for a few moments to take in
the various colors of the water and the submerged rocky bottom. Those
would be a painting in themselves.
