artist Bob Wygant is thought, by many, to be the "father of Texas
art". He began his artistic career by placing many of his paintings
in the largest and most powerful corporations in the state. In addition,
he taught others who have followed in his footsteps, unselfishly
sharing all he knew about painting. Wygant, the man, and outstanding
talent are held in high esteem by the Western art world, which he has so
greatly influenced in his own, quiet way.
